5 Tips on How to Lose Weight Fast

By jason Oh

Need tips on how to lose weight? Below are 5 ways to can make some simple changes to lose the weight and banish your belly fat for good-

1. Most people fail at this, but you need to think small. Set small, specific goals. Goals like 'losing weight' or 'gaining muscle' are too general. Be more specific - reaching a certain dress size, losing 5lbs. Break your goals into smaller chunks so you can see the results. Exercise is one area where you can really see and feel success. Then take pride in your accomplishments and reward yourself. You did it!

2. Lifestyle assessment - Losing weight on a diet should not be a "Fad" it needs to be a lifestyle change. Changing the way you eat and understanding the types of food you consume needs to be reviewed. Eat foods with less calories in them, and never eat more than one serve. By eating smarter and healthier, your body fat will reduce.

3. Fat has developed a bad name, yet it is still - in moderate amounts - vital to our diets. Butter, margarine, oil and cream are all fats. Fats are categorized as saturated and unsaturated, with saturated fats - which are usually of animal origin - thought to contribute more to health problems like coronary artery disease and weight gain than unsaturated fats, which mostly originate from plants and fish. Most take away foods and junk foods are high in fat content, so it is important not to base your entire diet on this type of food. Try to replace the saturated fats with poly-unsaturated and mono-unsaturated fats.

4. How many of us slip chips and chocolate into our trolley for emergencies? It's vital to stop buying junk if you want to stop eating junk! Be strong and avoid purchasing extra snacks. You'll notice that both your grocery bill and snacking habits will start decreasing. If the foods aren't there, you can't eat them!

5. It's now just exercise or planned activity, such as going to the gym or participating in a sport that is good for health; movement, or incidental activity like parking extra distance from the office and walking the rest of the way will add to your energy output and help to keep your weight at an appropriate level.

Losing weight is all about making a big effort and staying patient. Expect the 'Ups' and 'Down' of fat loss, and just stay positive. Often it is about slight changes to what you are doing now to get you over the line. But if you stay consistent with your good eating choices ad stay active, you will lose weight over the long term, and will be healthier!
